About Mafikeng Game Reserve
Mafikeng Game Reserve lies on the eastern edge of Mahikeng in the North West, a grassland and thornveld reserve with white rhino, buffalo, giraffe, sable and gemsbok and no large predators, which makes it an easy self-drive for a morning. It has chalets and camping and sits next to the Lotlamoreng cultural village. It is malaria-free and within reach of the Botswana border and the Pilanesberg, but most visitors come because they are in the town for other reasons.
