Yes, with your consent and only where needed. To verify identity and prevent fraud we process identity-verification information (a photo of your ID document and a selfie/biometric check), and for hosts we process bank account details to pay out bookings. Under the POPI Act this identity information is treated as special personal information.
Yes, in limited cases. When a stay is booked through a connected channel-manager partner (for example a property's existing booking system), we receive the booking details needed to manage that reservation. We also receive verification results from our identity-verification provider.
We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent. We process your information only when we have a valid legal reason to do so.
