About Nwanedi Provincial Park
Nwanedi is a Limpopo reserve in the Soutpansberg foothills north of Thohoyandou, around two dams on the Nwanedi and Luphephe rivers in a hot, rocky valley of baobabs and bushveld. It is a fishing and camping reserve more than a game park, with kudu, giraffe and nyala, and the Venda cultural landscape of the surrounding region is the wider draw. Facilities are basic and it is far from the main tourist routes, which suits people heading for Mapungubwe or the northern Kruger gates.
