Waterberg Plateau Park is a stunning national park in central Namibia, 68 km east of Otjiwarongo. At its heart the Waterberg Plateau rises high above the Kalahari plains of eastern Namibia. Declared a nature reserve in 1972 for its ecological diversity and richness, the park boasts over 200 bird species and rare antelope on the lower hills of the mountain.
