This scenic campsite is located at the entry to Sossusvlei, a short distance from Sesriem Canyon, a roughly 1 km gorge eroded over centuries, with pools at its foot that replenish after good rains. Sesriem takes its name from the rawhide thongs (riem) early pioneers tied together to draw water. The campsite is the ideal base for an early start to Sossusvlei, Elim Dune and the canyon. Operated by Namibia Wildlife Resorts. Rates are quoted per person camping in the source tariff.
