About Nairobi National Park
Nairobi National Park begins seven kilometres from the city centre and is the only national park in the world with a capital's skyline behind its wildlife. It is small, fenced on the city side, and holds lion, leopard, buffalo, black rhino, giraffe and cheetah; there are no elephants. It is a half-day for a first morning in Kenya or a last afternoon before a flight, and the rhino sanctuary here has been one of the country's most successful. Nairobi's hotels and the park-edge lodges are the accommodation.
