About Mashatu Game Reserve
Mashatu is a private reserve in the Tuli block of eastern Botswana, at the meeting point of Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe, part of the Greater Mapungubwe transfrontier area. It is a landscape of sandstone ridges, baobabs and the Limpopo and Shashe riverbeds, known for elephant herds, leopard, cheetah and its photographic hides at ground level and at waterholes. There are no rhino or buffalo. It also runs guided cycling and horseback safaris, unusual in big-game country. Access is by road from South Africa across the Pont Drift border or by air, and it is a malaria area.
