Boat safari on Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru is Kenya's first national park listed as both an Important Bird Area and an Endemic Bird Area, with over 400 species recorded. The boat safari takes you out across the water to watch and photograph the birdlife up close, from greater and lesser flamingo to pelicans, fish eagles and a wide range of aquatic species. Two departures. The morning run briefs at 06h30, leaves at 07h00 and returns at 09h30, with breakfast on board, sparkling wine and beverages. The afternoon run briefs at 11h00, leaves at 11h30 and returns at 14h00, with lunch on board and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Both carry professional binoculars and a Lake Nakuru guide and naturalist. Priced per adult; children 10 to 12 are $80 and from 13 pay the adult rate. Children under 10 are not permitted. Minimum 2 and maximum 8 guests per boat. Guests are dropped off by their guide or self-drive to the Cliff Boat Safaris jetty below Baboon Cliff Point. Bring a windbreaker. Subject to weather.
