Kamoka Bush Camp

Kamoka Bush Camp is an off-grid collection of eco-friendly tiny houses set on a 600-hectare private game reserve outside Hoedspruit, on the doorstep of the Greater Kruger and within view of the Blyde River Canyon. Each tiny house is hand-built in South Africa from locally sourced materials and raised on a low-impact steel platform, with a private deck that opens straight onto the bush. Solar power, a solar-fed borehole pump and considered design mean real comfort with a genuinely light footprint. The camp is run in partnership with DAKTARI Bush School and Wildlife Orphanage, a long-running conservation and education project, so a stay here puts you close to the wildlife and the landscape while directly supporting environmental education for local children and hands-on conservation work. Days can be spent watching game, walking the reserve, learning at DAKTARI, and ending around the fire under an exceptionally dark sky.
