Cornerway House stands three minutes uphill from the centre of Plettenberg Bay, with Robberg beach and its Blue Flag sand about seven minutes downhill on foot. Dee and Kathy run it as a four-star bed and breakfast with self-catering rooms as well, each individually decorated, each with its own entrance and en-suite bathroom, a fridge, tea and coffee, and heating for the colder months. Breakfast, full English or continental, is served on the covered verandah above the pool in summer and beside the log fire in the dining room when the weather turns. The house runs on its own alternative energy, so load-shedding does not reach it. Dogs are welcome and the ground floor is accessible; children come by arrangement. Most of what brings people to Plett sits inside a 25 km radius, and the hosts will arrange outings and pack a picnic for the day.
