Lesedi Cultural Village

Lesedi Cultural Village lies among rocky hills in the bushveld of the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, north-west of Johannesburg. Guests visit five homesteads, of the Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi, Basotho and Ndebele people, whose families live by the traditions of their ancestors, and evenings bring cultural dance and drumming.

The 38 rooms are set within the homesteads and decorated in each culture's style. The Nyama Choma Restaurant serves a buffet of traditional dishes and game meats, and the Fundudzi Bar and Ma Thabeleng's Shebeen are there for a drink outdoors.

Maropeng and the Sterkfontein Caves, walking trails, bird watching, Anglo-Boer War history tours and boat cruises on Hartbeespoort Dam are all nearby, and the village hosts conferences and team-building days.
