Horseshoe Cabin

Horseshoe Cabin is a snug timber cabin on a working horse farm in the highland grasslands outside Ngwenya, in Eswatini's Hhohho Region, a short drive from the Ngwenya border post and about 20 minutes from Mbabane.

The cabin sleeps four in two bedrooms: a main bedroom with a double bed and a second room with two single beds, both with heating, fresh linen and equestrian art on the walls. Inside it is all warm wood panelling and crisp white ceilings, with a lounge that opens through sliding glass doors onto the veld, a full kitchen with a gas hob, fridge, kettle and coffee station, and a bathroom with a hot shower behind a teal barn-style sliding door.

Outside, the farm does the entertaining. Horses and a friendly donkey graze right past the cabin, the farm dam mirrors the surrounding hills, and the grassland rolls away in every direction. You are welcome to meet and chat to the animals across the fence. Wifi, a TV and a dedicated workspace keep the practical side covered, and there is free parking at the cabin.

Ngwenya Glass and the ancient Ngwenya iron ore mine are close by, and the grassland trails of Malolotja Nature Reserve are a short drive north.
