Chichele Presidential

Chichele Presidential sits on top of Chichele Hill with a 360-degree view over the South Luangwa National Park, and it carries a genuine history: built as a presidential lodge, it was completely reimagined and rebuilt, reopening in April 2025 as a boutique safari lodge finished to a standard rarely seen in Zambia.

Ten Vista Suites are permanent, contemporary African in design and fully glazed, with central air conditioning through the bathrooms as well as the bedrooms, a lounge area, mini bar, huge bath, indoor and outdoor showers, a private plunge pool and Starlink. One suite is built for guests with limited mobility. Two of the suites inter-lead through a Safari Lounge with its own sitting and dining room, which makes a natural family or friends retreat and is included at no extra charge when both of those suites are taken together.

There is a spa, a gym, a lap pool and a gift shop, and the kitchen runs to genuinely gourmet dining. Activities are day and night game drives, walking safaris for guests aged 12 and over, and visits to Conservation South Luangwa, Project Luangwa and the community curio markets. Rates are per adult per night sharing and include all meals, house beverages and laundry, guided activities and transfers between Chiawa Safaris camps and airfields. It has the longest season of the collection, running from March to early January, and welcomes children of all ages.
