Stanford Animal Welfare Society (SAWS) is a registered not-for-profit organisation dedicated to protecting and improving the lives of cats and dogs in the greater Stanford community. Our mission is rooted in compassionate rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming, ensuring every animal receives the safe shelter, veterinary care, and love they deserve.

We are committed to reducing overpopulation through spay and neuter programmes, promoting responsible pet ownership, and advocating for the humane treatment of all cats and dogs. By building a strong, caring community, we give every animal a chance to thrive.

SAWS runs on the generosity of donations, partnerships, and income from our initiatives, including The SAWS Shop, a welcoming space where donated goods find new homes and every purchase directly supports our work. Proceeds go straight to helping animals, making the shop an essential lifeline for our operations.

We believe in transparency, accountability, and impact. Every rand is used wisely to further our mission, ensuring that the cats and dogs of Stanford are valued, cared for, and given the opportunity to live their best lives.
