aha Alpine Heath Resort

aha Alpine Heath Resort is a four-star village in the northern Drakensberg, surrounded by streams and grassland with the escarpment on the skyline. It is laid out like a small village, with its own market square and a village shop for fresh bread, eggs, cheese, braai packs and picnic baskets.

There are 100 north-facing self-catering chalets, each with three bedrooms (one double and two twin) and room for six, with en-suite bathrooms and views of the mountains. One chalet is adapted for guests with limited mobility. The Tavern Bar, a pool bar, a pizzeria and a coffee shop cover meals, and Le Gruyeres Restaurant serves breakfast and dinner.

Horse riding, hiking and walking trails, mountain biking, canopy tours and putt-putt are all on hand, and the resort also hosts weddings and conferences.
